I concur.  Many people take a look at the 1800+ line sendmail.cf config
file and throw up their hands because it looks so complicated.  However
if you config sendmail correctly with m4, you never need to edit, or
even look at sendmail.cf.  All you have to worry about is the 60-70 line
sendmail.mc file and use it as input to m4 and generate a new
sendmail.cf.

Plus you don't need to learn the sendmail programming language explained
in O'Reilly's Sendmail book.  I only use the small section in the book
that explains the m4 directives.

And if you don't want to do anything fancy with your sendmail server,
there is almost nothing to change from the default Redhat setup.
