This worked.

Ah, becasue if I leave that off, I have to
go mess with the $HTTP_VARS stuff myself...

It looks like the PHP people are saying it's
better to leave this setting off, and mess
with the $HTTP_VARS in each script.

This means I would have to rewrite this script
a bit, but it's not a bifg deal... of course, if you
have 1000's of php scripts....
