Hey there,

Though I haven't been able to attend too many KLUG meetings this past
year for various reasons (the album is almost done though!), I want to
tip my hat to Adam for the SPECTACULAR job of lining up so many great
presentations. I've downloaded the speakers notes for many of the
presentations I wanted to attend but couldn't. On more than one
occasion, I've referenced the material for actual projects I'm working
on (notably the database access and LDAP presentations...both of which
should be published by O'Reilly IMHO).

A tip of the hat is also in order to all the contributors on this list.
I have my "LINUX" file with many, many printed emails from many of you
folks. From sendmail to public_html to LDAP to permissions...these are
just a few of the topics I've printed and stashed in my file for that
day I know I'll need them. (I wipe my PC too often to archive too much
of it electronically.)

I'm not trying to sound too sentimental, but I felt compelled to say a
public thanks to KLUG for a great list, excellent meeting content, and
being a great lighthouse for spreading the word about Linux. I know that
*my* view of things has changed dramatically...whereas I always looked
to Linux as a great add-on for a solid network, I am convinced today it
is way more than that. We all know it stands on its own technical
merits, but Linux also represents the best in creative sharing and
freedom. As my Tuesday evenings free up, I look forward to being at more
KLUG meetings and finding a more tangible way to give back.

Rock on in 2003, KLUG!
