I use evolution for my e-mail,  and I sent and receive attachments all day 
long.  Except from *1* person,  from whom all attachments come through as 
a winmail.dat file.

Questions

1 - Is there any way to pull the contents out of one of these funny little 
things?

2 - What exact setting on Outlook makes this go away?  So I can give very 
specific advise.  No I don't even have a copy of outlook, and have in fact 
*never* used it.  I've seen it though,  looks like a knock-off of 
evolution. ;)
