I've had a similar problem in that I have not been able to install the
latest RH6.2 version of up2date because that installation depends on
several
missing components in my RH6.2 system I am building for use in very
small slow
machines for a school. For example, one missing component is a later
version of
rpm. However, that installation depends on several components not
currently installed,
one of which is libdb which I could get from glibc but that installation
is held up by
other missing components, ...

Any suggestions for this somewhat similar problem?
