1. Sounds like you need Plugger3.3 installed or . In 
Netscape check 
Edit|Preferences|Navigator|Applications to see if 
there is anything associated with the .mid 
extension. If Plugger doesn't play midis try 
associating .mid with Midi/Karaoke player.

2. Go to the KDE Control Panel under File 
Browsing|File Associations. Under the test entry, 
select html. You will see a dialog with a list of 
browsers in the the order of preference. I had to 
add Netscape to the list. Move Netscape to the top 
and that will become your default browser.
