I use (and recommend) using the freshmeat.net index as well. They will
ferry you to the projects primary web or ftp site, which is the best
place to get the packages. If you want to find an RPM of a package
http://www.rpmfind.org is very useful.

Anyone else remember when sunsite.unc.edu* what the mother FTP site for
UNIX/Linux stuff and you almost inevitable had to hack the make files to
get a package to build and install. We've come along way.

*They still have athena.tar.gz available for anyone who thinks Netscape
is bad, you should try using this.
