And that's fine, _before_ you discovered IPCop. But _now_ that you have
discovered IPCop, the SmoothWall(TM) team has been "removed from the
equation" (at least for the users/non-developers). As such, it's time
to "self-gag" any and all commentary on SmoothWall(TM), the SmoothWall
(TM) Team, etc... For the benefit of everyone who users and, more
importantly, _develops_ IPCop.
That is my main point, but even IPCop's own mail list admin (among
others in my local LUG, who don't really do _any_ development, despite
his/their "egos") can't stop himself/themselves sometimes. Just
remember ...
THINK OF THE DEVELOPERS *BEFORE* YOU SAY SOMETHING!
It's _you_ that are benefitting from _them_, not vice-versa (as long as
you use _their_ product). I've seen good developers get "raked over the
coals" because some ungrateful users caught them on a "bad day" and
don't know all the facts in the matter (that led to the "bad day").
What do you think that tells a developer?
