I stayed away from modules this time so I should not
need the initrd file I guess.

I am using RedHat 7.2 and wanting to upgrade to kernel
2.4.16.  The kernel that I got with my distribution of
7.2 says that the support for fat32 partitions is
alpha and won't load one of my disks.
