I don't know if anybody's mentioned it yet, but scp is pretty cool, although not
a direct replacement for ftp. It's included with ssh and it's sort of like
using the cp command:
scp /path/to/file.name user@remote.machine.name:/path/to/new/file.name
you can, of course, use the wildcards and stuff.
