Maybe, although I'm running 2.2.19/20 on the Debian box.

Yeah, "rpm -V" saves me all the time.  E.g., Evolution was dorking
up, missing icons and the "File" on the menu.  Sure enough, "rpm -V"
reported an .xml resource file was changed.  Simple re-install of
the RPM worked.
