[KLUG Members] Pervasive problems continued -> Fixed?

huzzah!  Finally!  I removed the SCSI Card:  pbpbpbtpbtpbbbb. That didn't 
do a thing.  So, I figured, "I'll take kernel 2.4.17 that I've got on 
another drive, boot into windows, put it on there, reboot into linux, and 
make that, bare-bones".  So I did.  And I built it, bare as can be, with 
NO scsi support, and woot.  It works.  I think I may dare to build it in 
this weekend, but I'm QUITE happy to see X, and for that matter, a boot 
prompt that it got to all by itself.

Thanks for the pointers, everyone. It is has been a serious pain in my 
side, I'm going to have to make a note of this.
