I multiboot XP and RedHat7.2 using GRUB for the boot manager. There are
some big gotchas to look out for (like I had a free partition, loaded
redhat, rebooted..looked fine select XP and it start to load but hangs).

Why? XP will automatically shift drive letters even though it can't read
ext3 partitions.

anyway, Quick steps to make it work on mine:
1. Backup all data to CDRW and Network (we will destroy everything in
step 2)
2. Boot to the WinXP install CD.
   - during install, delete the existing XP partition
   - create 3 new partitions.
    a) new one for XP. It should only be 2 gig (NT needs to be in first
couple gig and so does lilo if you use it on linux part).
    b) a spacer for Linux (you may have to create a large primary of 5
gig then extended then delete primary and recreate as 2gig -sound long
but like 30seconds of work)
    c) extended partition for data/programs/games (formatted fat32)
3. Install WinXP
4. Pick a Linux distro like RedHat 7.3
-use Grub as boot manager, and change label to WinXP for that partit.
-install the boot manager to the partition and be sure to create a
boot disk.
5. Reboot.
all is well.

The extended part is an area that any os can read. I started doing this
using a 2gig FAT16 part when I would multiboot NT/OS2Warp or 95/NT.  the
NTFS5 in 2000 and XP can't be used properly under Linux.

PS. The font issue..I found the folder before I saw your post, and cp
all of the *.ttf under the /usr/share/fonts/default/TrueType directory.
Thanks, Adam

PPS. I just printed a webpage and it showed color on the HP4550
Laserjet. I don't remember changing anything, but last time I printed I
only got BW.
