WHOA! It took me some head-banging (sans music) but I finally loaded a
custom initrd file and got bash to run! I ran e2defrag on my hard drive
(just to see) and it freakin' worked! Took forever, and I sweated
bullets the whole time, but it worked! Cool!

This is especially great because I have never gotten something like
Tom's root boot disk written to floppy. dd always croaks on something,
not sure what....
