Just my 2 cents.  Last week IBM announced the p630.  It has 1GHz processors
and is priced less than the 640.  I don't think the 630 will be available
until mid sept. though.

And you don't usually don't "buy" these machine's,  you lease them from
IBM,  so you have a monthly or annual payment not a lump sum.  ANd you
get lots of buy out / trade up options.
