[KLUG Members] port forwarding

I have a mail server setup that I can ssh into, and then from there
telnet to the RS6000. That's fine for me, but I need more functionality
and others need access.

I have a couple salesmen with proprietary app on their laptops. When on
the local network, it attaches to the RS6000's ports 2500 and 2501. I
figure they users can run putty and open a windows app on their machine
and have those ports forwarded (laptop would be receiving then
forwarding through SSH to remote machine). Then I would port forward
from my secure box here to the private network side.

How do I setup others to have remote access (RedHat modifed by Mitel
distro)? Or should I setup a dedicated IPCop firewall or other? If so
where are the man pages or info howtos?

I know Richard has been using Putty, but in this way?

TIA
