I only use putty presently for ssh screen connections. I have *NOT* done
port forwarding it it but know it suppose to work.

Another idea. I was messing with maybe switching to Eudora or Pegasus
email for the office computers. Being I use port 995 (pop3s) to get emails
from the server to the desktop, I had to install s-tunnel on my test
computer as niether Eudora or Pegasus support SSL.

You could use s-tunnel on both the client and server side then have
s-tunnel do the port forwarding. Thsi way you get SSL encrypted
communications and port forwarding together.

Your app would connect to the localhost:2500 & 2501 and then S-Tunnel
port forwards (via ssl) to the server, then the S-Tunnnel daemon on the
server can port forward it to the internal network / ports. This is
transparant to the client software.

   Just a thought...

   Richard
