I just bought a copy of Nancy walsh's "Learnaing
perl/Tk" (O'Reilly, 1999) but can't get it to work in
my RH7.3. While I have both the latest perl and tk,
apparently other tools are needed. In particular, it
seems that tk800 should be installed. I downloaded
tk800 but have an error installing it. The pertinent
part of the error message is here:
make[2]: Entering directory
`/p5/languages/perl/Tk800.023/Xlib/X'
rm -f ../../blib/arch/auto/Tk/X/X.so
LD_RUN_PATH="" gcc -shared -L/usr/local/lib X.o -o
../../blib/arch/auto/Tk/X/X.so
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcc_s
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Any ideas? Ralph
