Yes, and years ago IBM, Sun, HP, SCO, & UniSys all pledged to created a
unified UNIX to counter the M$ onslaught.  Still waiting.........

The ability of several large collections of humanity to cooperate on a
complex and detailed endeavor has been demonstrated to approach nil.
