I wouldn't neccesarily call this "Microsoft turf" as it doesn't really say
that these are desktop systems. (At least not in the story I read). From
what I've seen and read lately the server isn't "Microsoft turf" and they
are actually getting pummelled in that market.

The Education Department of Australia's Northern Territory plans to deploy
4,000 Linux desktops is a much more direct hit against M$. But those are
still *plans*, and lots of organizations have planned Linux desktops. And
like the poem by Robert Burns: "The best laid plans of mice and men gang
aft aglay".
