Oracle joins IBM in offering Linux database clusters ...

Now I'd like to see that old Compaq-MSSQL-Windows clustered systems v.
Sun-Oracle-Solaris single shared-memory system "benchmark" from a few
years ago where the latter actually beat the former in 8 out of 10 TPC-D
tests, but the former touted they "won" because they got 2 out of 10 at
1/5th the price. Of course, "clustered systems" are cheaper than "a
shared memory system," but can't do everything! But now that
Dell-Oracle-RedHat custered systems join the fray, I'm sure it can boast
better scores than Compaq-MSSQL-Windows at everything for an even lower
price.
