okay. For some odd reason, there's somethign wrong with my default
"fixed" font. I rebooted my machine, and now bloody X wont' start. I've
been searching the net for this, and 80 percent is for Cygwin, 15 percent
is for other languages, and the rest have fixes that don't apply. I
attached the output, but I'm pretty sure it's not of much help. I've
re-run xf86config (this is a beehive 5.0 system), checked the font dirs,
checked fonts.alias file in the /usr/X11R6/X11/fonts/misc dir and other
places. For the most part, it matches my RH system line for line. I'm
flabbergasted. All the cygwin sites say, "Reinstall X". Well, that's not
really an option.

Any ideas? I'll keep searching, but I'm pushing an hour on this now.
