[KLUG Members] Ripping MP3's

With regards to ripping slowness:  My 52x drive gets about 4x if I use the
generic SCSI driver instead of the IDE driver in linux.  I get about 2
tops otherwise. Partly, it's the amount of 'paranoia' that you are using.
Use less paranoia, and it'll rip faster.

With regards to creating MP3's, I use oggenc.  XMMS uses oggs just fine,
and for some reason, they appealed to me. So I use oggenc.  You can try
that, but windows users'll have to download a special codec.
