I have concerns about possible GPL violations with these people; I'm
just not sure. I poked around their site, and there doesn't seem to be
any way of downloading anything (even a trial version) without paying
$99.95 up front. In my cpacity asa KLUG functionary, I have requested 
a trial copy and any distribution agreements (or NON-distribution agree-
ments) required for such a purpose.

Also, the Lindows web site states that one reason this is not available
yet is that it's still in beta test, and the code base is unstable. I
guess they are using the Wal-Mart customers as beta testers! :)

Ya can't have it both ways, folks. You can't be selling a product in
cooperation with the biggest [?] retailer in the country on one page,
and still be in beta test on another page.

I smell something fishy here.
