Funny Adam mentions this. I just spent last week setting up some close to
it. In my case I setup the Apple LaserWriter printer in Windows as Adam
describes, but have the user save the file as a specific name for a specific
task in a shared directory. From there I've got a bash job that cycles
through looking for those specific filenames every minute. Once it locates a
file, it converts it to a .pdf file then emails it to the people specified
in an email list I've got setup.

Having Samba control the filenames is a better idea as it takes the human
out of the loop when it comes to entering the filename and mistakes. I'll
need to reconfig my server for that and make notes for the Win to Samba
presentation for August!
