[KLUG Members] Which wireless AP?

I am going to start playing with wireless and was hoping for some user
input.  My internet connection is cable and I am think of replacing my
linksys cable/dsl router with there wireless model.  I thought it would be a
really cool project just to set up a linux box to act as the wireless AP and
router but I am opting for the easy and cheep way.  Until some spare
hardware becomes available.

Does anyone have any input on the linksys or another model?
