[KLUG Members] Verifying the success of an ftp command?

Well if you are doing this from a script I would write
the script such that it renames the existing files
before transfering the new files.  Then you can do a
check to see if the new files are down.  I suppose
that you may want to check to see if all of the file
got down too.  I am not sure, but I would think that
you could check the file size from the ftp server from
a listing first and then compare sizes.  If it is a
file that you know some things that would be in it,
you could check that as well.

By renaming the script you could also write in that
the files get renamed back if the transfer does not
happen if you need to have something out there.
