[KLUG Members] DocBook, AbiWord XML Export and XSL Stylesheet Application ...

First off, does anyone have DocBook experience here? What's the best
way to create DocBook? I'd like an editor that has auto-spelling
correct and a few other goodies -- like Gnome-enabled programs like
AbiWord and Evolution's message composer do.

Secondly, I see a lot of DocBook SGML tools and DSSSL stylesheets to use
them with on my RedHat system. RedHat 7.3 now includes DocBook XSL
stylesheets as well for DocBook XML, but the tools seemed geared towards
SGML.

In any case, OpenJade and TeX seem to make up a lot of the tools.

I've tried exporting a simple AbiWord document as DocBook which seems to
be DocBook XML 4.1.2. I haven't had much luck in applying stylesheets.

I've tried "xmlto", "xsltproc" as well as "docbook2*" (SGML/OpenJade)
and "openjade" (directly), passing both DSSSL (docbook.dsl) and XSL
(docbook.xsl) sheets to convert to HTML, Jade (print), PDF, etc...

Either I'm not doing things right, or AbiWord is outputting some crappy
DocBook -- which may be the case because I'm getting _nothing_ like the
original document when something does happen.

Constitutional worry, if it dictated its policy to Microsoft as
THE MAJOR CUSTOMER it is, and not THE REGULATOR it fails to be.
