>>>What speed DSL?
>>$49.95 is for 768k, $59.95 is for 1.544Mb
>Same speed up & down???
No, it's 768x128, 1.544x144 (I think). I don't exactly recall the "up"
speeds. A 128 up is plenty for VOIP or IMAP so I'm not too concerned.
>SDSL?
No, ADSL
>Static IP(s)?
One.
>If so, that's GOOD!
I thought so.
>>>or can you switch and use the "business line" as your home phone?
>>I suppose. I intend to drop my residential line once the business line
>>is installed. But EVERY (even local) call on a business line is a ~8.2
>>cent charge.
>Okay, that could be a pain. Are incoming calls free or charged?
No, I don't think incoming calls are a ding.
>>Which is OK for us since every dweller has a mobile phone with mucho
>>minues, so we primarily use those anyway.
>and there are ways around it . . . :-)
Sure, VOIP.
>Full T1 speed for $60/month upload & download, unlimited usage, static
>IP(s), sounds like one hell of a deal to me! As long as there isn't any
>hidden "got-ya's".
Well is $49 a month + $20 a month for the line, thats $70 a month. You
must be using football school graduate math.
>Since you brought it up Kevin, how does ISERV compare in price and
>performance to that? You can get me DSL at my home? (Nobody else can)
>I'm served out of the Vicksburg office.
>Is this thread ready for the advocacy list yet? :-)
No, please don't kill it.
