[KLUG Members] Source RPMs, anyone?

Over the last few weeks, I've been involved in several projects that
have required the most recent source RPMs (if anyone is interested in
why, I'll be happy to explain, but that's not the direction I care to
take in THIS message). Not having them on-hand was a source of some
annoyance and delay in what was going on.

Because of those experiences, I have decided to keep all of the most
recent source RPMS on the network here at Chez Brown. It really is
not a large percentage of the on-line disk available storage, and I
would be most happy to produce CD's from disk storage on request
for anyone, on the same terms that BSware is made available.

What I am asking for before I actually "open the shop for business"
is some indication of how much interest there is out there for this
kind of service. I'm not looking for speculation, the experience of
others, or advice. I simply want to know if you would want a copy,
and approximately how often. I will handle this a bit differently if
I get feedback from 20 people than I would from 2, So I'd like to
know a little bit about actual demand before I do a lot more about
distributing this stuff.

This is the first time updated source RPM CDs have been offered to the
group. SRPM disks have been available for BSware, and are now part of
it, but they are not updated at present. Bruce and I have discussed how
this effort will effect his work once the service is established.

With that in mind, how about it, gang? Would you like updated source
RPM CDs?

Please answer my specific questions by private e-mail to: bob@acm.org,
if you want to discuss this idea in general, of course that is more
appropriate for discussion on the list.

                                                 Thanks and Regards,
