[KLUG Members] Have any of you successfully implemented .htaccess/.htpasswd functionality on your or your ISP servers?

Sorry about one of my earlier messages ... I need to remember to trim
them of the unnecessary words ...
I double checked the permissions. I have them as follows:
.htpasswd 644
.htaccess 744 (since I was playing around here I only set the user's
execute bit)
Yes, according to the ISP's software password generator I used, the
supplied password was encrypted. I created the .htpasswd file
extension document with notepad and inserted the results from the
password generator. Then I transferred .htpasswd via WS_FTP using
ASCII mode into the appropriate directory location.

Right.... what format are they in? They -are- the encrypted versions,
correct?
