It would already be universal that way if it wasn't broken. Or they
changed it and the man page is completely out of date, but I don't think
they changed it. I see nothing at
http://www.gnu.org/directory/GNU/bash.html to make me believe they changed
it.

ln -s zsh /bin/rzsh

works great. Why not bash?

Also, I don't think login uses shell aliases, and as bashrc is sourced at
the start of bash, that wouldn't help. Adding the code I posted earlier
would, but I'm not going to do that because:

1. It's not me who wants a restricted user, and
2. Bash is badly broken (apparently) and that's just a band-aid.
