If one has a squid box I imagine it will proxy the same as Windows Update or Red
Carpet, making subsequent updates blindingly fast.

I'd trust my servers to autoupdate from RedHat or Debian or etc.... about as
much as I'd trust my NT/WinY2k/Xpee boxes to auto update from M$.
