You can non-destructively resize your partition using FIPS that is on the 
RedHat CDRom.  You use it from DOS to split your partition into 2 while 
keeping all of your data and programs.  You then can setup Linux in the 
free space and use GRUB or LILO to multiboot between Windows and Linux.

Windows won't bother the Linux partition, but if you want..you can mount 
the Windows drive in Linux and use it's data files, fonts, images...whatever.
