Adam,

Sorry, I can't tell you from first hand experience how usable GNUe might be
at this time. From the chatter on their mailing list, someone like yourself
with some programming skills could probably make good use of it. They are
taking it to shows and demo-ing it. The developers still call it alpha code,
but it sounds like they are able to do some pretty impressive things with
it. But, prime time it is not.
