[KLUG Members] USB keyboard

I have a friend with RedHat 8.0 and a Compaq box with a Compaq Inetrnet
USB keyboard. None of the regular keys on this board work under RH 8.0,
even using a USB-to-PS/2 adapter, but it used to work under Mandrake
8.1, though it was rather flaky (cut out during logout, e.g.). Any
ideas?
