An important point in this thread is John had the Ximian Gnome2 snapshot
installed and did a upgrade (NOT a fresh install) from RH 7.3 to 8.0.

Luckily I never installed the Ximian Gnome2 snapshot on any of my PC's,
but I had my share of trouble upgrading four "stock/normal" Ximian
desktops to RH 8.0.

The RH 8.0 upgrade program even warns you that third party software is
installed, and an upgrade may cause some programs not to work.

After my upgrades, I manually upgraded/downgraded/removed all the Ximian
packages still left on my system until I finally got a stock RH 8.0 like
install (or something very close).  After that it seems to work fine.

However, I did get over a thousand of these type warnings during the
upgrade, and during my manual RPM upgrade afterwords:

 OMF file [/usr/share/omf/gnome-user-docs/gnome-users-guide-C.omf]
 does not validate against ScrollKeeper-OMF DTD:   
 /usr/share/xml/scrollkeeper/dtds/scrollkeeper-omf.dtd
 Unable to register  
 /usr/share/omf/gnome-user-docs/gnome-users-guide-C.omf

(file/package names change on each warning).

Does anyone know what this means?  
What (if anything) I should do about it?  
Is it going to cause me problems down the road?
