Yes this is a very crippled OS.  Win XP Home will not join a windows domain,
for that "feature" you must upgrade to XP Pro.  I was able to connect to a
samba share if it was in the same workgroup but not part of the domain.

I've heard bad reports about the network capabilities of WinXP for Home.

Has anyone tried networking with this OS to enable file sharing from a Linux
box?
