I just tried this this weekend. WinXP Pro is connecting to the Samba
server (with Registry hack). Now how do I connect from the Linux box to
a WinXP box with smbclient/smbtar? I tried to set up an anonymous,
read-only share for some data and got:

mail:02:42 AM:~$ smbclient //SOMENAME/SHARENAME/
added interface ip=192.168.1.2 bcast=192.168.1.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Got a positive name query response from 127.0.0.1 ( 192.168.1.43 )
Password: 
Anonymous login successful
Domain=[FIRST] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME



Any ideas?
