Yes (an Intel Nightshade), I bought one so I could keep my P-II CPUs (which I'm
still happy with) but use memory other than EDO (which is all my old board knows
about). The new board takes DIMMs, end even supports ECC. But, alas, it
doesn't like SCSI controllers.... Strange and very frustrating. So it sits in a
box in the basement and I'm stuck with 256Mb of RAM and my old board unless I
want to scrap the whole thing.

If anyone has seen such a problem I'd appreciate a few pointers.

SCSI cards work fine on the old board but the machine can't even get through
booting without lock ups or chains of I/O errors when using the new board.

I've swapped out to Future Domain, Adaptec 2940, and IBM IPS, all the same symptoms.
