It was updated.  What I have is a genuine RPM that is newer than the one on the
RH72 CD.

Oh yes.

So any guess what the issue is with the other half?  Using a font for which a
TTF doesn't exist on the Linux box.

Right, I did that.  Didn't bother to check the HOWTO,  its obvious.
