Maybe a little off topic, but check out the new Van Buren County page at:
http://www.vbco.org , and look at the map section.  Open the property
assessment map, zoom in to a small area and then overlay the parcel map
onto it.  Then click on one of the white dots to see parcel ownership
info.
Unfortunately this is one of those .asp programs (not php).  But its
pretty good for a local government to have this type of info available
online.  It is also set up so that it can be edited by users with
browsers.
This page has not been publicized yet and is not complete, kickoff is in a
couple of weeks.
