I have the same card BTW, but I don't think that will work for you. There
are only a handful of companies that manufacture the wireless
chipsets. Orinoco/Lucent (bought out a coupla weeks ago by Proxim) takes
care of their own. Their cards are great for features like microwave oven
robustness, mmcx connector, driver support and range.

The last I recall is that Orinico's cards (I can at least speak for mine)
do not offer promiscuous mode. Without this, you cannot capture traffic
that is not destined for your MAC address.

So find a card that uses another manufacturer's chipset. The chips thrown
in the DLinks work in promiscuous mode, but I don't know the entire list of
which manufacturers do/do not.

Former list member, Bryan Smith, worked for a wireless company and knows
considerable more about that industry than I.
You might want to ask him on the LEAP list.
