Maybe this should go in Novice (I feel that way sometimes . . .).
I was able to install NTFS (read-only) support to Redhat 7.3, which is
pretty slick, except for one idiosyncrasy:  Directory permissions reset to
700 whenever I log in.  I can change them back to give myself access through
a super user shell window, but then next login I have to again.  Why doesn't
it stay the way I set it.  Is there a way?
