I thought I heard some time ago that mysql was being ported
 to NetWare, but haven't seen any progress reported. Looks
 like Novell has put their vote of confidence in Postgres.

Do I hear the rumble of flamethrowers firing up in the
 mysql  camp as the postgres faithful cheer? :) 

The latest version of NetWare (6.0) caused my boss and I to
  do a double take as it booted...the services starting
 with the green [ OK ] in the right column. It really does
 resemble Linux booting.
