I did some packet traces and found that my DNS server is making the
request up to the root server for the particular names. The root
server is coming back with the information for the second level
domain. When my DNS server tries to get hold of the second level
domain it is unable to reach it. I cannot ping the ip address for
the second level domain server either. A traceroute comes back empty
as well. Both of the DNS names that I am working with right now
appear to possibly be from the same IP range. I think that it may be
routing issues but am not sure where I can proceed from here. Well
maybe I need to do some traceroutes from home and see where things
are and then do some more.

fyi
the two DNS addresses are www.knowledgenet.com and
www.richmichaels.com that I am currently working on.
