Maybe the hint file that specifies root servers is out of date. My BIND
installation uses my ISP's DNS servers as forwarders, so I'm not
familiar with updating the hint file, but I remember reading in the docs
that the file needed updating occasionally. Sorry, can't telll you
anything useful about how to do it.
