I just did a cat of one of my ical calendars, and all those tags look 
like they need to be there (i think)

Apple's iCal just uses the summary tag for a description. I don't know 
if that will change with OS 10.3 or not.

I don't know PHP or any other language (except English and a little 
spanish, FWIW:), but I'm willing to learn, and help out in any way I 
can.
