Gentoo is currently working on teh next release which will give the tools to 
create your own " distro" . I'm not sure it exactly looks like it fits but it 
is interesting reading.
I've used Gentoo for some time now on 4 desktops, and 1 laptop. (Servers are 
all BSD) and I love it. I am by no means a Linux expert for those who don't 
try it for that reason.
