Yes, I'm sure either candidate would make a very good chairman.

I was recently accused privately of being biased in my original email
because I added an explanation point at the end of John's line and not
Peter's.  That was NOT MY INTENT.  I was expressing my surprise and
excitement about having a second candidate for chair, making for a real
election this time.  I apologize to anyone who took that the wrong way.
Being on the election committee, I will [do my best to] remain neutral
and equally distribute my explanation points in all future emails.
